Lucknowi Chikankari Lehengas for Weddings
A chikankari bridal lehenga is the quiet choice: it rewards whoever comes close enough to see the stitches. Tehzeeb's lehengas are hand embroidered in Lucknow in ek taar and haath jaali on georgette, organza, net and silk, often with mukaish or zardosi highlights, and every one is made to order for its wearer.
The collection covers ivory and pastel bridal lehengas, deeper colours for receptions and sangeets, and lighter sets for guests. The lehenga, blouse and dupatta are embroidered together so the motifs match, and the flare, the length and the dupatta weight are decided with you.
A bridal lehenga needs time, so the first thing we ask is the date. Send it with your colour on WhatsApp and we will come back with a design, fabric options and a timeline.
Questions we are asked
How far ahead should I order a chikankari bridal lehenga?
As early as you can. A fully embroidered ek taar lehenga is months of work before finishing and fitting, so six months or more is comfortable; lighter designs can be done faster. We tell you plainly what is possible by your date before you commit.
Which colours suit a chikankari lehenga?
Ivory and white are the tradition and show the embroidery best. Blush, pistachio and other pastels keep it visible and photograph softly. Red, wine and emerald turn the embroidery into a texture, which works beautifully in silk.
Can the lehenga be paired with zardosi or mukaish?
Yes. Mukaish (badla) dots and a line of zardosi at the hem or on the blouse add light without weight, and tie the set to gold or silver jewellery. We keep the chikankari as the main work and use the rest as highlights.
Do you make chikankari lehengas for brides outside India?
Yes. Measurements are taken by video and from a garment that fits, with one fitting by video before finishing. We ship worldwide and tell you the transit time and duties for your country.
